- Uses end-to-end encryption
- Current security audit is available (not more than three years old)
We tried to weigh the pros and cons of each service appropriately. The services are shown in descending order; if multiple services share first place, the order is random.

Although the files are transmitted and stored encrypted, classic end-to-end encryption is not used. For additional functions, files are briefly decrypted or encrypted in the server's memory. A detailed description can be found in the whitepaper.
Cryptomator can be used in conjunction with other services. All data is encrypted locally and only then transmitted.
